Indigenous Participation

Check out this quick vid from the AFL Community Club. The AFL has fast become the leader of all sporting codes in Australia in recognising the contribution that Indigenous Australian’s have had in the development of their sport. The AFL is proud to have so many Aboriginal Australian’s competing at the sport’s highest level. This recognition should be a mirror for society, but unfortunately, the role that Aboriginal Australian’s have played in shaping our nation and national identity is still undervalued. By taking a leaf out of the AFL’s book, all Australian’s can recognise, and celebrate the rich and historic contribution that our Indigenous peoples have had in shaping our nation, not only on the sporting field, but throughout the Australian community in general.
